About DevelopSense

DevelopSense was founded in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, to provide testing and consulting services. In 2002, I returned to my home, Toronto.

In 2003, I began a close collaboration with James Bach, becoming a co-author of the Rapid Software Testing class and methodology in 2006. Since then, I've travelled over a million miles to over 30 countries around the world.

Testing's purpose is to reveal problems that threaten the value of software products and projects. I provide consulting to development groups, managers, and executives who want to improve the quality of the testing work and its value to the organization.

In the RST class, I train testers to perform the fastest, least expensive testing that completely fulfills the mission of testing. Testers develop skill in evaluating the product by learning about it through exploration and experimentation—and then editing, narrating, and justifying the testing story. Testers learn to describe the status of the product, the state and progress of the testing work, and ways to make testing faster, easier, and more effective.

I've kept a pretty complete list of all my activities since 2005.
